The Royal Media Services (RMS) has sent comedian Herman Gakogo also known as Prof Hamo, packing.
Close sources to the information state the Churchill comedian was fired from the station a week ago. However, some reports indicate Prof Hamo lost his job at the station a few weeks before the paternity scandal between him and Stella Bunei Koitie (Jemutai Chibambe) surfaced.
“Hamo is no longer part of Hot 96. We, however, wish him the best in all his endeavours,” a source revealed.
More details have revealed the comedian didn’t agree on some issues with his bosses, who could no longer stand his indiscipline.
Clyde Katiba, the deputy station manager, has since replaced him and co-hosts the Morning Drive with Jeff Koinange.
Jemutai and Prof Hamo were embroiled in a paternity scandal after Jemutai accused the comedian of neglecting their two children.
However, Hamo disputed the matter stating Jemutai took over taking care of the children while he sent upkeep.
“I have children who live with me while others don’t. I have provided for my children from day one, and there’s no day they haven’t lacked food or shelter,” said Prof Hamo.
Daniel Ndambuki (Churchill) helped the conflicting couple to solve their issues. Hamo demanded a DNA test before accepting to pay school fees.
In August last year, Hamo was supposed to join Mediamax Limited Milele FM from Hot 96 FM.
Prof Hamo, however, decided to remain at Hot 96 after he was offered a new contract.
