Sonko looking for Mzee who cycled for four days to attend late President Moi’s burial

Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko is in search of the 76- year old Mzee Nathan Ambuti who cycled for four days from Kakamega to Kabarak to attend the late President Daniel Arap Moi’s funeral.

Through his social media pages, the embattled Governor asked the public to help him look for Mzee Nathan as he had been touched by his story.

Mzee Nathan Ambuti cycled for 223 Km to attend Mzee Moi’s funeral.

Sonko went on to ask for his contacts to help him get a proper means of transport back to his home.

“Watu wangu, nimeguzwa sana na hii story 76-year-old Mzee Nathan Ambuti who his obvious adoration of the Late 2nd President H.E. Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi cycled for 4 days all the way from Kakamega to Kabarak to attend his State Funeral dressed in a KANU-flag tie,” read part of his statement.

The “self-made” Kenya’s Peace Ambassador hit the headlines after he reached the late President’s home on Tuesday only to be turned away by the security officials and asked to come the next day (on Wednesday); the day of the state funeral. The late President’s burial was attended by over 50,000 people.
