Kakamega Senator Cleophas Malala has, in a new twist of events, accused his former party leader Musalia Mudavadi of taking advantage of Waiguru’s impeachment hearing to expel him from ANC.
Malala questioned why Mudavadi ousted him when the whole country was watching. At the time of expulsion, the senator was chairing a committee that decided the fate of Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru.
“What puzzles me is why Musalia had to wait till when the whole world is watching me and waiting for my decision to expel me from the party.”
The Kakamega senator further claimed that Mudavadi was jealous of him. According to Malala, God had blessed him. He went ahead to urge Mudavadi to be content with God’s plans as he can not change them.
“They should stop being jealous when God has opened a way. He would be content with what God has planned.”
ANC ousted him because Malala had abandoned the party despite ANC helping him to win the 2017 elections. Mudavadi further accused him of sidelining the party and gross misconduct.
Malala further worsened the situation after he supported ODM’s Imran Okoth during the Kibera by-election. This was despite ANC having their candidate in the race, Eliud Owalo.
I will not be intimidated.
Malala however, firmly insisted that he will not stop fighting for what he feels.
“I am thankful that I am back home, and I will continue fighting with ‘those people,’ you all know that I’m not a coward.”
He further confirmed that he would look for another party that befits him. Malala urged all his supporters to migrate with him when he announces the new political party.
“I will give you a direction because I have been expelled from their party, I will look for another party, and I ask that you move with me.”
