Former Nairobi County Governor Mike Sonko has once again called for the impeachment of President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The former Makadara Member of Parliament took to his Twitter page to support former Chief Justice David Maraga’s explanation on why the head of state might have been impeached in other countries.
“This is the right guy to be impeached,” Sonko said in reference to the retired CJ’s remarks.

In an interview with Citizen TV, David Maraga went hard on President Uhuru Kenyatta accusing him of falling short of his Constitutional duties for ignoring several court orders.
Maraga said that President Uhuru Kenyatta had failed in his obligation to uphold and defend the Constitution and should therefore be impeached.
He explained that the head of state called out President Kenyatta for not swearing in the 41 judges recommended by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) as required by the law, even after three court orders were issued directing him to do so.
He maintained that he ignored a Constitutional duty placed on him.
Maraga who retired this week stated that President Uhuru Kenyatta said that he cannot appoint because there are issues; issues which he does not want to reveal.
The former CJ revealed that there are three court orders directing the President and even giving him a time frame and he has still not appointed the judges.
He argued that as far as he is concerned that is a violation of his constitutional duty and that would have given other countries a reason to impeach him.
On Monday 4 January, Mike Sonko also called for Uhuru Kenyatta’s ouster saying that the first in command should also become a former President before his retirement the same way he made him a former Governor before his time came to an end.
He went on to boldly state that he hates President Uhuru Kenyatta adding that he is the worst President the country has ever had.
He further added that Kenyans are fed up with the dictatorial leadership of President Uhuru who at one time he used to love with all his heart.
Sonko mentioned that there was a time he was ready to lose his life because of supporting him.
