Woman causes drama at Milimani Court claiming Chief Justice David Maraga is a deadbeat dad (Video)

A woman going by the name Mercy Kwamboka Onyancha caused a commotion at Milimani Law Courts on Tuesday 30 June 2020 after she claimed that Chief Justice David Maraga had abandoned was a deadbeat dad.

In the video seen by Kenyannews.co.ke, Mercy Kwamboka while screaming and crying claimed that CJ David Maraga refused to take care of his child forcing her to do everything by herself.

“Alinipea mtoto kwanini asigharamie? Aliniachia mtoto pekee yangu. Kila mtu akuje asikie story. Musinikaribie. Maraga amekataa kutake care of mtoto wake anataka nigharamie kila kitu,” she cried.

A female journalist was then heard asking Mercy Kwamboka to stop screaming and tell her what happened. Kwamboka narrated that she met with Maraga and they had an affair.

She revealed that they had known each since 2013 and Maraga left her with their six-year-old daughter.

She went to disclose that she had all the documents and she had been filing cases ever since CJ David Maraga neglected his duties as a father.

“I met with Maraga and we had an affair. We’ve been friends since 2013 and now I have a six-year-old daughter. I have everything here (documents). I have been filing cases now and then. He was even summoned by the Children’s Department and he refused to honor that one. Akuje agharamie mtoto wake mimi nimechoka. I heven have pictures of the kid we had with him na amekataa,” said Mercy.

Mercy explained that she met Maraga at a church function and later on they started seeing each other continuously. She added that Maraga would take her to lavish hotels in places like Nakuru and Naivasha.

She claimed that David Maraga told her that he felt so lonely because his wife could not give him children. In her demands, Mercy Kwamboka stated that she wants the CJ to be proving Ksh. 160,000 monthly for the child’s upkeep.

The money includes Ksh. 41,000 for school fees per term, Ksh. 45,000 for rent, Ksh, 20,000 for medical cover, Ksh. 20,000 for food, Ksh. 5,000 for clothing and Ksh. 10,000 for a nanny
