A Spanish goalkeeper at Bayern Munich?

According to the Spanish newspaper AS, the German goalkeeper of Spanish origin, Stefan Ortega would interest Bayern Munich. The Arminia Bielefeld goalkeeper, whose contract ends next June, could join Bayern to replace Manuel Neuer. The Maanschaft goalkeeper would be very close to renewing his contract with the Munich club for three more seasons. Alexander Nübel, on loan until 2023 in Monaco, would refuse to return to Bavaria to stay in the shadow of Neuer.

Ortega has played just 51 Bundesliga games since the start of his career. But the good performances last season of the 29-year-old goalkeeper allowed him to be the reserve goalkeeper chosen by Joachim Löw and Mannschaft goalkeeper coach Andreas Köpke for Euro 2021, in case Neuer , Leno or Trapp would have been forfeited for the competition.
