Six months after his appointment as head of SC Olhanense (Portuguese 4th division), former Dutch international converted to coach Edgar Davids was dismissed from his post by the Portuguese club. The former midfielder passed by Barça and Inter Milan will not have managed to offer the rise in Portuguese D3 to the Reds and Blacks. At 48, he therefore suffered his second failure after Barnet FC (League Two, 4th English division) in 2012.
“Sporting Clube Olhanense SAD informs that they have reached an agreement with Mr. Edgar Davids and that he is no longer the coach of our team. We wish him the best personal and sporting success in his next project ”, can we read in the press release published this Tuesday by the SCO.
