Espanyol Barcelona announced in a statement on Friday that they had sacked coach Vicente Moreno, who was under contract until 2023. The Barcelona club, currently 13th in La Liga, has also dismissed its sporting director Francisco Joaquin Perez Rufete.
The Spanish technician was fired just two days before the end of the championship because he was on a series of five games without a win (4 losses, 1 draw). It is Luis Blanco, the coach of the B team who will take over this Saturday at 6 p.m. for the reception of Valencia.
