Continuation of the 8th day of Ligue 1 this Sunday with four meetings in the multiplex. At Mosson, the Héraultais, nine from the first period, were slapped by Stade de Reims (0-4). AS Saint-Étienne lost on the lawn of FC Metz (0-2). Strasbourg and Bordeaux for their part respectively won against Brest and Nîmes.
After the victories of Angers, Paris and Marseille, the eighth day of Ligue 1 continued this Sunday afternoon with four matches scheduled at 3 p.m. (Lens-Nantes, scheduled for 1 p.m., has been postponed). Eighth before the matches of the day, Montpellier HSC could achieve a good operation in case of victory against Stade de Reims at La Mosson. A Reims team that was always looking for its first success. But on their lawn, the people of Hérault quite simply lived a nightmare. Following a fault in the area, Hilton quickly saw red (7th) and Dia transformed the penalty for the opening of the scoring (8th, 0-1). A complicated start to the match for Michel Der Zakarian’s team who conceded a second goal, again from the Reims striker (13, 0-2).
The Rémois were in madness and Mbuku even scored the goal of 3-0, refused for offside (22nd). But this decision only delayed the deadline because ten minutes later, the 18-year-old kicked off a magnificent return to score (32nd, 0-3). At the bottom of the hole, the premises even lost another player since Le Tallec, author of a very bad gesture, was also sent off (42nd). And inevitably, nine against eleven, the Montpellier suffered. Close to the hat-trick in the first period, Dia drove home the point after returning from the locker room, again from a penalty (56th, 0-4). Defeated, the MHSC slipped to 11th place. The SDR remained 19th.
Strasbourg strolls in Brest, Bordeaux wins at the end of the match
At the Stade Saint-Symphorien, FC Metz (14th) and AS Saint-Étienne (11th) clashed with two different goals. The Garnets wanted to continue their unbeaten streak (2 wins, 2 draws) while the Greens had to get their heads out of the water after three straight defeats. Quickly, Boulaya unblocked the situation with a nice direct free kick (5th, 1-0). Claude Puel’s men tried to come back but could not. Worse, poor Sissoko scored against his camp (78th, 2-0). The Messins climbed to 9th place, while the visitors, with their fourth loss in a row, found themselves 13th.
In other matches, Stade Brestois 29 (13th) and RC Strasbourg (18th) crossed swords at Stade Francis-Le Blé. Finally, there was no match. Diallo (26th), Lala from the penalty spot (40th) and finally Ajorque (68th) indeed offered great success to the Alsatians (3-0), who recorded their second victory of the season but remained eighteenth. Finally, at Matmut-Atlantique, Girondins (12th) and Nîmois (16th) challenged each other. At the end of the match, Ben Arfa got a penalty and Briand opened the scoring (78th, 1-0), before the break goal of Oudin (82nd, 2-0).
