Liverpool: Jürgen Klopp hopes to have Mané and Salah in the New Year against Chelsea

Nearly a month before the start of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon, several clubs will be affected by the departure of their African internationals for continental competition. Among them, Liverpool will be deprived of its two strikers Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mané, soon to be called up with Egypt and Senegal, who will play their first match respectively on January 10 and 11.

Two departures that did not suit their club coach, Jürgen Klopp, who would have started negotiations with the Egyptian and Senegalese federations to be able to count on them against Chelsea on January 2, 2022, at the start of the rally: “It is not yet decided. I’m an optimistic person, so I hope so, but it’s not written in stone, it’s not completely in our hands ”, he said at a press conference.
