According to The Times, Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips would be at the top of the list of midfielders targeted by Manchester City for the summer transfer window. The Cityzens would thus consider making a good offer for the 26-year-old England international. The Mancunian club is looking in the middle for a replacement for Fernandihno, who will leave City free in June and the profile of Phillips would particularly please Guardiola.
Under contract with the Peacocks until June 2024, the English midfielder would be a cheaper option than West Ham midfielder Declan Rice, also tracked by the Sky Blues. This season Phillips has played 23 matches, scored one goal and provided one assist. The Leeds native is also on the cards for Manchester United.
