MU: Juan Mata tells about Cavani’s beginnings

While he has a good chance of making his big debut for Manchester United this Saturday during the shock against Chelsea, Edinson Cavani continues to train alongside his new teammates, already under the spell of the Uruguayan. This is in any case the case of Juan Mata. The Red Devils midfielder said for the podcast Pitch to Post Preview of Sky Sports that the new Mancunian striker had already proven a lot of things in training. “He is already training with the team and you can see how professional he is, how motivated he is and has been throughout his career”, said the Spaniard before showering the 33-year-old Uruguay international with compliments.

“I spoke with my good friend Ander Herrera before Edinson signed because they are also good friends. Of course they played together in Paris and he told me he will be a great asset to us. You can see immediately that he is really focused on the game and that he gives the best of himself for the team. When you have such a great striker with such a record of goals, so professional as his mentality has made him one of the best strikers in the world in recent years, it’s great to have him with us. I did my best to help him adjust, but I’m sure he doesn’t need a lot of help on the pitch and I’m sure he will be very good for us ”, concluded the 32-year-old.
