Newcastle formalized on Thursday the signing of English goalkeeper Nick Pope from Burnley, where he had one year left on his contract. The international with 8 selections signs a four-year lease with the Magpies. The transfer fee has not been disclosed, but the press across the Channel is talking about a deal of around 14m euros (£12m).
“Now that I’m here, I can’t wait to get started. The deal took a few weeks to materialize, but it was done very quickly. I’m delighted to be here and I’m really looking forward to it.”said the main interested party to the official Black-and-White media.
