Newcastle reportedly hold their first winter signing

In search of reinforcement for the next transfer window, Newcastle could dig into the antechamber of English football. According to information from Sun, the management of the Magpies would have targeted Stoke City striker Tyrese Campbell, son of former Arsenal scorer Kevin Campbell. Eddie Howe would be ready to offer 20 million pounds (23.5 M €) to afford his services.

Trained at Manchester City between 2014 and 2016, the 21-year-old comes out of a successful 2020/2021 exercise with 7 goals scored and 7 assists delivered in 19 matches in all competitions before seeing his season ended with a knee injury. Gradually returning to the field in mid-October, the English U20 international (2 caps, 2 goals) has already hit the net three times between the Championship and the reserve team.
