OL celebrates the 20th anniversary of the first title with an event series of 8 episodes

Twenty years ago, Olympique Lyonnais won its first French championship title. On May 10, the Rhone club took advantage of the “Heroes’ Match” which pitted OL legends against Team Unicef, to celebrate the title won in 2002. The team chaired by Jean-Michel Aulas also decided to treat supporters by creating a documentary series of 8 26-minute episodes retracing the epic 2001-02.

Title “A little closer to the stars – LYON 2002”, it is the work of the OLTV teams, which provided colossal work by multiplying the interviews of players, managers or journalists of the time. All with unpublished archives and anecdotes. What to remember good memories and learn a little more behind the scenes of Lyon’s first coronation. The first episode, entitled “The hangover”, can be found on the OL website and on YouTube.
