Premier League: Liverpool hits Southampton and returns to Chelsea, Aston Villa and Steven Gerard continue

Liverpool shone against Southampton with a broad 4-0 win that saw the Reds take second place one point behind Chelsea. At the same time, Steven Gerrard won his second straight game for Aston Villa against Crystal Palace.
