PSG: AS Monaco will hit the jackpot thanks to Kylian Mbappé

This time, the outcome of the soap opera Kylian Mbappé seems (finally) to be sealed. The 23-year-old French striker will, barring an unlikely turnaround, announce in the coming hours that he is staying at Paris Saint-Germain. To the chagrin of Real Madrid, who were waiting for him on a firm footing. While his current lease expires on June 30 with the capital club, the Bondynois will extend for three seasons with PSG, i.e. until 2025. An outcome which will make AS Monaco happy, but which will be very expensive for Parisians.

Because if the extension of the 2018 world champion has obviously materialized with solid financial arguments, it will above all activate the clause present in the current contract of the Ile-de-France n°7. A clause which obliges Paris SG to pay an additional €35 million to the Monegasques in the event of an extension or transfer. This will bring, officially, the cost of the transfer of KM7 from ASM to PSG, in 2017, to 180 M€. Since then, the residents of the Parc des Princes have paid only €145 million to the Asemists (€90 million in the summer of 2018 then €55 million a year later).
