PSG: Gianluigi Donnarumma surprised by the level of Ligue 1

In an interview with the official Paris Saint-Germain media, Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma looked back on his first season with the capital club, with whom he has signed until June 2026. If he is proud to have won the French championship for his first exercise in France, the European champion with the Squadra Azzurra admitted to having been surprised by the level of Ligue 1.

“From the outside a lot of people think it’s easy to win Ligue 1 but I know it’s completely wrong. There are great teams in this league. It’s hard, really very hard to play in certain stadiums here, against a hostile public and against very competitive teams. It’s really not easy and you always have to be well prepared, work 100% because some matches are very complicated for us. If we are not at 100% it becomes difficult to bring back victories. You have to play your best every time. »
