RB Leipzig: Jesse Marsch leaves office

RB Leipzig have announced that they have ended their collaboration with their American coach Jesse Marsch, a decision well considered after the defeat suffered on the lawn of Union Berlin. His assistant Achim Beierlorzer will take over as interim coach and will be on the bench against Manchester City on Tuesday (6:45 p.m.). Ahead of this weekend’s setback, RBL are having a complicated pass with three straight Bundesliga defeats and elimination from the Champions League round of 16 race.

“It was not easy to part with Jesse Marsch because I really appreciate Jesse as a person and a coach. It is a pity that things did not work out as we hoped in this constellation and that this decision became necessary because, unfortunately, the desired evolution and therefore the results necessary to achieve our goals for the season did not been obtained “ said board chairman Oliver Mintzlaff.
