According to COPE, Real Madrid left winger Eden Hazard apologized to Cadiz defender Carlos Akapo for seriously injuring him on Sunday during the match between Real and the Andalusian team (1-1). The 31-year-old Belgian sent an audio message Monday morning to the 29-year-old defender who he fractured two toes in a poorly controlled intervention.
Akapo had posted on social media after the encounter an impressive photo of his bloody foot as well as an X-ray showing his fractured toes. The Cadiz defender was also surprised that Hazard was only penalized with a yellow card for his gesture.
