Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has been voted La Liga player of the month for the second time this season. The 34-year-old Frenchman, who was crowned Spanish champion with the Madrid club, scored four goals in five matches during the month of April.
Despite the French striker’s very good season in Spain, the league’s top scorer, with 26 goals and 11 assists in 30 La Liga appearances this year, it is only the second time that Benzema has been voted player of the month this season. The first was in September.
