Serie A: AS Roma and Venice leave each other in a draw

On the side of the Stadio Olimpico, AS Roma (6th, 59 pts) received Venice this Saturday evening as part of the 37th day of Serie A. In front of their public, the Giallorossi had to win to consolidate their place, synonymous with qualification in the Europa League next season when they will also play the Europa League Conference final on May 25 against Feyenoord. Opposite, the Arancioneroverdi had just learned of their relegation to Serie B after Salernitana’s draw against Empoli (1-1).

The evening visitors however started the game perfectly by opening the scoring through Okereke after a few seconds of play (1st, 0-1). But with the red card from Kiyine (32nd), the task became more complicated and AS Roma took the opportunity to equalize after the break with a goal from Shomurodov (76th, 1-1). The score did not change. With this result, the two teams kept their place in the standings.
