Serie A: before the C4 final, Roma thrash Torino and secure their place in the Europa League

Date:

Five days before the final of the Europa League Conference, José Mourinho’s Roma is reassured, and secures its place in the Europa League via the championship next season. The Louve club quietly won this Friday, opening the 38th day of Serie A, on the lawn of Torino (3-0). A success guaranteeing the club from the transalpine capital the 6th place in the ranking, directly qualifying for the C3, all thanks in particular to a Tammy Abraham entering the history of the Italian championship.

Author of a double, first by deceiving Etrit Berisha following a superb sequence in the surface (33rd), then by taking advantage of a bad transmission towards the Albanian goalkeeper to obtain then transform a penalty (42nd), the former Chelsea striker became England’s top scorer in a season in Italy since 1961-1962, taking his tally to 17 goals in Serie A (27 in all competitions). Lorenzo Pellegrini sealed the fate of this meeting by scoring a penalty late in the game (78th). Enough to fill up with confidence a few days before a new major event on the European scene for the Special One.
