On the occasion of the 25th day of Serie A, Torino (10th, 32 pts) received Venice (18th, 18 pts) this Saturday at 8:45 p.m. At the Stadio Olimpico in Turin, the Garnets hoped to revive after the defeat conceded on the lawn of Udinese (0-2) during the previous day. Opposite, the Arancioneroverdi, recently beaten by Inter (1-2) and Naples (0-2), were in the urgency of points. In the event of victory against Taurus, Paolo Zanetti’s men could however temporarily overtake Cagliari and thus get out of the red zone.
A meeting which was however going to start in the worst way for the visitors since Brekalo allowed Torino to take the advantage from the first moments (1-0, 5th). Very largely dominated at the start of the meeting, Venice grew bolder over the minutes and Haps thus put the two teams equal (1-1, 36th). Catchy at the break, the visitors even offered themselves the luxury of taking the advantage as soon as they returned from the locker room on an achievement by Crnigoj (1-2, 46th). With icy realism (2 goals from 2 shots on target) and after a goal denied to Belotti in the dying seconds, Venice overthrew the Torino to move up temporarily to 17th place. Garnets are stagnating in 10th place.
