Silas Wamangituka is no more, we must now call him Silas Katompa Mvumpa. The Congolese striker revealed to Paris FC has fun at VfB Stuttgart. But if his start to his career was successful, he was going through difficult times off the pitch. Under the influence of his former agent, his name and date of birth were changed. Although supported by VfB Stuttgart, the striker (13 in 27 Bundesliga appearances this season), has been sanctioned by the German Football Association.
The German Football Association suspended Silas Katompa Mvumpa for unsportsmanlike conduct for three months – until September 11, 2021 inclusive – and fined him 30,000 euros. The ban applies to all competitions. The VfB forward recently revealed to his club that he was the victim of the machinations of his former player agent and that Wamangituka is not his real name. Silas and the VfB both accepted the sentence, so the judgment is final. “It was clear to him and to us that Silas would be sanctioned by the DFB and according to the statutes, that’s what had to happen”, explained VfB sporting director Sven Mislintat. “The judgment also takes into account the specific circumstances of his case. We are happy that the sports sanction, linked to the DFB, is now enacted. “
