Telco giant Safaricom has announced a scheduled service upgrade that will run from Saturday 5 pm to Sunday 23rd August at 5 pm.
Through a statement, Safaricom said it is upgrading the systems to support the growth of its products and features and to ensure they continue to deliver innovations as per the customers’ needs.
“We are upgrading our systems to support the growth of our products and features and to ensure that we continue to deliver innovations in line with the needs of our customers,” read part of the statement.
During the planned system upgrade, activation of new SIM Cards, SIM Swap, Get PUK and Tariff Migration will be unavailable.
All the other services including Calls, Data, M-PESA and SMS, will remain unaffected during the upgrade.
