In 2021, during the recording of the sixth and final season of Better Call Saul, Bob Odenkirk suffered a heart attack on set and required medical attention. Months after the event, the interpreter of Saul Goodman, or Jimmy McGill, spoke about what happened that day.
The actor says that everything happened after recording a scene and luckily he didn’t go to his trailer, where he would be alone. Instead, the actor joined co-stars Rhea Seehorn and Patrick Fabian as he lost consciousness and passed out. Rhea even said that the actor was getting a bluish appearance.
When Odenkirk passed out, colleagues asked the production and the rest of the cast for help, and thanks to the medical staff on the set were able to perform cardiac massage and resuscitation with a defibrillator. The actor said they managed to regain his heartbeat in the third shock.
