The speculated series of Penguin at HBO Max seems to be closer to coming true. According to Deadline, actor Colin Farrell has already settled his participation in the series and should both be the protagonist of the new plot and act as executive producer.
There aren’t many details about the series yet. All that is known so far is that it will be a spin-off of the batman, which hits theaters in March 2022, and will expand on the story of the classic Batman villain. So, while the movie will only introduce the character as one of Gotham’s many mobsters, the show should show how he will become one of the city’s most powerful and dangerous underworld bosses.
Remember that this is the second series derived from the batman. In addition to the production dedicated to Penguin, Warner also plans one dedicated only to Commissioner Gordon, played by actor Jeffrey Wright. However, the two exclusive works by HBO Max have not had their dates confirmed so far.

About Penguin, the studio has not yet commented on the matter. However, Deadline already takes the show for granted and even cites Lauren LeFranc as a screenwriter. She already has experience with the comic book universe while working on some episodes of Agents of SHIELD.
