The social network could soon offer you to enter your address to offer you publications, groups or items sold on the marketplace in your neighborhood.
Facebook could soon help you break the ice with your neighbors. The social network is testing a new feature, Neighborhoods (literally “neighborhoods”), to allow you to access publications, groups, or marketplace items sold in your neighborhood.
The information, unveiled by Matt Navarra, a consultant specializing in social networks, has since been confirmed by a spokesperson for Facebook.

In the screenshots shared on Twitter, we discover that users will be able to enter their address and fill in information for a profile intended specifically for this function. For the moment, Facebook would only carry out its tests in the Canadian city of Calgary.
Noting that Facebook users are increasingly using the platform to contribute to the local life of their place of residence, the Facebook spokesperson explained that this initiative would make it easier for users, by offering in Facebook, a dedicated space for people to connect with their neighborhood.
