Officially launched earlier this week, the new Royole FlexPai 2 has managed to catch the attention of the Chinese consumer. The foldable went into pre-sale yesterday (23) and the manufacturer already celebrates the success of the device. This because over 150,000 reservations have already been made at retailer JingDong.
According to Royole, the successor to the world’s first foldable smartphone managed to reach 50,000 reservations in just the first hour of sales. By 2 pm (in China), 150,000 units had already been booked.
As a shy number as it may seem, the FlexPai 2 is being considered the cheapest foldable in China, since its launch price is 9,988 yuan (~ R $ 8,180). As a comparison, the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 was made official in the Chinese market for 16,999 yuan (~ R $ 13,922).
