With just over three weeks to go before Samsung’s grand second Unpacked event in 2020, more information about the Galaxy Note 20 line is in full swing, now giving new indications that the company may present two models instead of three.
In two new images shared over the internet by several leakers, we see the possible camera modules for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and Galaxy Note 20, showing that the larger model will arrive with an oblong region to house the laser focus sensor and possibly an additional fourth camera for depth data.
Meanwhile, the smaller model has four holes: three larger aligned in the left region, a medium one for the LED flash and a tiny one in the lower corner, which will probably be dedicated to the microphone. Thus, it is practically confirmed that the common Note 20 will not offer a periscope lens for high-zoom zoom.
Galaxy Note 20 Plus: still unknown
As stated at the beginning, before many believed that Samsung could adopt the new launch pattern of the Galaxy S line and announce three models of the Galaxy Note family this year, but the recurring absence regarding information about a supposed Galaxy Note 20 Plus continue to indicate that the company should continue betting on two models this year.
Despite this, it is still possible for a trio to be introduced. As we know, the common Note 20 will offer three cameras without a periscope lens, while the Note 20 Ultra will bet on three lenses with a periscope lens and a ToF 3D sensor. For Note 20 Plus, Samsung could adopt the same set of Note 20 Ultra, but without ToF 3D, placing it in the middle of the three models.
Of course, all this is still speculation, but news should appear in the coming weeks or even in the coming days, indicating whether Samsung should bet on two or three models of the Galaxy Note line this year. The Unpacked event is scheduled to take place on August 5th.
