Next week Honor is expected to introduce the new Honor 50 series of cell phones, which will feature at least three variants — the Honor 50, Honor 50 SE and Honor 50 Pro. there will be a fourth version, even more powerful, named Honor 50 Pro+.
The flagship line should be announced on Wednesday (16), but with a few days until the presentation, it is possible to know a lot about the first three versions. We already know, for example, that the models will be equipped with chipsets from Qualcomm or MediaTek and will also have Google services installed at the factory, something that was confirmed after the separation of the company from Huawei.
Now, courtesy of the trusted leaker Ishan Agarwal, it’s possible to learn a little more about the handset’s specs. Let’s check now every detail.
Honor 50 SE
The simplest model in the series, the Honor 50 SE. The entry-level model of the line, according to the leaker, will reach stores with the MediaTek Dimensity 900 mobile platform, which has support for 5G network connection.
The Honor 50 SE will have a 6.78-inch LCD panel with Full HD+ resolution. On the front, the model will still have a 16 MP lens. Already in the rear composition, the cell phone will have a set of three cameras, with a main sensor of 100 MP f/1.9, an ultra-wide of 8 MP f/2.2 and a macro f/2.4 of 2 MP.
The battery will have a capacity of 4,000 mAh with support for fast charging of 66W. According to the leaker, the phone will have dimensions of 164.73 x 75.63 x 8 mm and will weigh 191 g.
The “common” variant of the line will be somewhat different from the SE version and the Honor 50 will be equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 778G, which also supports next-generation network connection.
It will have a 6.57-inch OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and, on the front, it will feature a 32MP f/2.2 camera. At the rear, it will feature a set of four lenses, with a 108MP f/1.9 main, an 8MP ultra-wide f/2.2 and two 2MP, for macro and depth.
The battery will also be superior and it will feature 4,300 mAh with 66W fast charging support. The device will have dimensions of 159.96mm × 73.76mm × 7.78mm and will weigh 175 g.
Honor 50 Pro
Finally, the Honor 50 Pro will have many features similar to the mid-range model. The processor will be the same Snapdragon 778G and the rear lens set will also be the same, with 108 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP + 2 MP sensors for the main, ultra-wide, macro and depth cameras, respectively.
Differences start to appear on the front of the device: it will be equipped with a 6.72-inch AMOLED screen with resolution. In addition, the model will feature two front lenses: a 32 MP main and a 12 MP secondary.
The battery is smaller: it’s 4,000 mAh — just like the Honor 50 SE — however, the Honor 50 Pro will support a 100W fast charge, which can provide a full charge in just 25 minutes.
Because it has a larger screen, it has larger dimensions and measures 163.46mm × 74.66mm × 8.05mm, weighing 187 g. In size, it should approach the Honor 50 SE, but it is larger than the “ordinary” Honor 50.
