Microsoft PowerPoint is a slide show editor that has a number of features and functions for its users. Although the program is not dedicated to image editing, it still has its own tool capable of cropping images.

How to crop an image in PowerPoint
Step 1: add an image to your slide show, right-click on it and select the “Crop” option.
Step 2: another method is to select the image and access the “Image Format” tab in the top menu.
Step 3: then click on “Cut” and select the “Cut” option again.
Step 4: then use the edges of the image to adjust the crop. Once the adjustments are complete, just click on any area outside the image to apply them.
Tip: to cut two parallel sides equally, press the “Ctrl” (Windows) or “Control” (macOS) key.
Step 5: to access other crop options, go to the “Image Format” tab again, click “Crop” and select the “Crop to Demarcate Shape” option. Then, select a crop format.
Step 6: with the format applied, continue editing your slide show.
Step 7: PowerPoint also has another option for cropping by proportion. To access it, go to “Image format” again, click on “Crop” under “Aspect ratio” and select one of the available proportions.
Step 8: check if the crop will suit your needs and click on any area outside the image to apply it.
