Silent Mode is a very handy feature to quickly turn off sounds that are turned on by default on Apple devices. On the iPhone, for example, just move the switch on the left side of the device down, where the orange band appears, to mute the device; on the iPad, the task is handled by the Control Center.
While it’s more practical to use system shortcuts to turn on Silent Mode, you can also manually turn off system sounds and keep those you prefer to keep beeping on your device. In this article, we’ll show you how to disable virtual keyboard sounds on iPhone and iPad easily.
Before starting, remember that the tip in this article is only valid for iOS and iPadOS native virtual keyboards. If you use Gboard, SwiftKey or similar apps, you should consult the settings of these apps to silence them.
Disabling keyboard sounds on iPhone and iPad
Step 1: open the Apple Device Settings app. Then go to “Sound and Touch”.
Step 2: disable the “Keyboard Clicks” option.
