Actor Christian Robinson has just been cast in the series Interview with the Vampire, from AMC. The plot is derived from the novel of the same name by Anne Rice, which also yielded a film that hit theaters in 1994, with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt in the cast.
Christian Robinson will play Levi, described as “an upstanding Baptist from Louisiana who won the heart of Louis’ (Jacob Anderson) sister Grace (Kalyne Coleman)”, according to a Variety exclusive. The actor counts on his resume with films like The First Night of Crime and Code of Silence, in addition to the series Black Mafia Family and watchmen.

Also in 2020, AMC acquired the rights to the book series Vampire Chronicles, which includes Interview with the Vampire. The broadcaster also announced a series of The Mayfair Witches, also by Anne Rice. The author passed away in late 2021 at the age of 80.

The production is in the hands of Rolin Jones, known for the series Weeds, United States of Tara and boardwalk empire. Alan Taylor will direct the first two episodes, while Mark Jonson will executive produce with Christopher Rice, the author’s son.
In addition to Christian Robinson, they are also in the cast of the series Interview with the Vampire actors Jacob Anderson as Louis, Sam Reid as Lestat, Bailey Bass as Clauria, among others.
