iPhone SE 3 has alleged leaked prototype with old design and Touch ID

With indications that the third generation of the iPhone SE is already in production and following the increasingly certain rumors of its design, an alleged prototype of the device appears this week to reinforce expectations related to the device, which should not bring great news beyond of a new chipset.

The image shared by user Zealer on Weibo shows a protective cover for the device on the left side with holes for a rear camera, microphone and LED flash aligned horizontally.

On the right side, we see the supposed iPhone SE 3 with its glass front panel and silver aluminum side frames.

The smartphone will keep the 4.7-inch screen, thick edges above and below the display, as well as the home button with Touch ID and sound output in the upper region.

In its third generation iPhone SE is expected to be promoted as Apple’s cheapest 5G phone, offering low price and high processing performance to attract consumers.

On the other hand, its old and outdated design can be an obstacle to conquering new users who would like to use Face ID and symmetrical edge screen.

With an event expected in less than a month, Apple should announce the iPhone SE 3 with Apple A14 Bionic chip (from the iPhone 12 line) or A15 Bionic (from the iPhone 13 line) with support for 5G.

No major changes to camera, screen and battery are expected, but thanks to advances in the latest processors it is possible that photo, video performance and battery life will see a slight increase.
