We’ve seen some renderings showing the iPhone 12 with straighter edges that seem very much inspired by the iPhone 4 or even the 4S. Now more information about the new look has emerged with the release of templates for Apple’s top-of-the-line design for 2020, which is getting closer and closer to being released and should come to cheering many nostalgics who knew the former generations of the manufacturer.
The leaked molds are particularly useful for accessory manufacturers as covers for the new iPhone models, after all, it would be too risky to send a phone not yet released out of the manufacturer’s premises. That way, you now check out the 4 templates that were posted by the JinStore user on Twitter:
JinStore is an Apple Premium reseller from New Zealand, which gives some credibility to the leak. The 4 models refer to the different versions of the phone, which should be released with 5.4 inches, two 6.1 inches and one of 6.7.
However, it is worth saying that design details such as the notch and camera sensors are not as detailed in these molds, after all the manufacturers of covers are even interested is in the dimensions of the device and position of the buttons, in addition to the hole for the camera module. Therefore, we may see some subtle differences in the final device.

If that’s not enough, it’s important to remember that we’ve seen evidence of this new design on the iPad Pro 12.9 that was released later this year with the new A12Z Bionic and has the same flat edges. Not to mention the new LiDAR sensor that should reach the new iPhone 12 Pro and is present on the tablet as well. This would be very interesting, since the last visual revolution of the iPhone occurred in 2017 with the release of the iPhone X.
