What if I don’t accept the new WhatsApp rules?
According to the WhatsApp support site, no one will be immediately suspended from the platform if they do not accept the new rules by May 15, 2021. However, whoever chooses to deny the concessions requested by the app, will see an incessant notice informing them of the change and may have limited resources.
“You will not be able to access your conversation list, but you will still be able to answer voice and video calls”, informs WhatsApp. Also according to the app, those who suffer from this type of limitation will still be able to answer text messages and return voice and video calls only through the menu built into the notification sent to their cell phone.
Also according to the messenger, “after a few weeks of limited use of resources, you will no longer be able to receive calls or notifications, and WhatsApp will no longer send messages and calls to your cell phone”. In short, you will be totally unable to communicate via “Zap”.
The messaging app warns, however, that not accepting the new terms will not result in deletion of the account – that is, at any time in the future it will be possible to accept the new rules and return to using the app fully.
In addition, WhatsApp informs that not all users who do not accept the terms will suffer these punishments at the same time. This means the following: two people who did not give the OK on the screen the new rules may suffer sanctions at different times.
