Realme has already launched some new smartphones this year, including the new Realme 8 and Realme 8 Pro, but it also has almost everything ready for the officialization of other models, such as, for example, the Realme GT Neo, which has been the target of leaks and rumors in the past few days. Now, we know your design thanks to two new images.
They were published by the chairman of Realme in China, Xu Qi, through a publication on the Chinese social network Weibo. Here, you can clearly see that the new model will have a rectangular module in the upper left rear corner, which will serve to store its three cameras, next to the LED flash.
In addition, the power button is on the right side, and the fingerprint reader will most likely be hidden under the screen. The color of the phone that appears in the photo is called “Final Fantasy”, and is inspired by a cyberpunk theme. There are two tones, one matte and the other shiny, with the Realme logo next to the slogan “Dare to Leap”.
The Realme GT Neo should hit the market with a P2 connection for 3.5 mm headphones, a USB Type-C connection, microphone and sound output, all positioned at the bottom of the device.
Among the highlights, the smartphone should be made official with a 6.55-inch screen with AMOLED technology, along with a higher refresh rate, more precisely 120 Hz. Information also points to 6 GB or 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, internal storage UFS 3.1.
In terms of processing, the GT Neo must give up the Big Brother’s Snapdragon 888 to adopt a MediaTek Dimensity 1200. In addition, it must run Android 11 under Realme’s proprietary interface. Certifications still cite a 4,400 mAh two-cell battery, but it is unclear what the supported speed will be for charging.
Anyway, all that remains for us now is to wait for its officialization, which will take place on March 31st. Until then, there should still be more leaks and rumors. Stay tuned here on Canaltech for more details.
