At the end of March, Realme announced the Realme GT Neo, a version slightly inferior to the standard model of the brand’s basic top-of-the-line. With simple changes in design, the main difference between the two variants is found in the processing: while the traditional GT offers the Snapdragon 888, the GT Neo opts for the MediaTek Dimensity 1200, a very robust chip that matches the Snapdragon 870.
Another important change occurred in the battery: although both offer a reserve of 4,500 mAh, only the model with Snapdragon has a fast charge of 65 W. The version with Dimensity was limited to 50 W recharge, although curiously it keeps the battery charger. 65 W in the box. Therefore, Realme may soon launch a second version of the GT Neo.
GT Neo Flash Edition brings more powerful charging
Information arrives through the leaker Digital Chat Station, which indicates that Realme will announce the GT Neo Flash Edition in the coming weeks. Despite its striking name, the new edition of the device would bring about a single change: the 65 W fast charging. The battery would also undergo modifications, even though the 4,500 mAh capacity also remains.
The Realme GT Neo has only one battery cell, which led the company to limit the charge to 50 W. Now, with the increased power, the Flash Edition would adopt a double power reserve, to reduce the speed of battery degradation. . In this format, each cell will receive 32.5 W, causing less stress on the component.
Specifications must be maintained
Furthermore, the Flash Edition must arrive with the same configurations as the Realme GT Neo, and so we can expect a device equipped with a Dimensity 1200 chip, accompanied by 6 GB, 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage. There is also a 6.43-inch Full HD + Super AMOLED screen, with a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a set of three rear cameras with a 64 MP main sensor.
Other highlights include 5G connectivity, a digital player under the display, stereo audio, Bluetooth 5.1 and a P2 connector for headphones. It is possible that Realme also brings differentiated design, although there is no information about it. There is also no precise details about the launch date of the new model.
