Xiaomi is almost ready to introduce its high-end cell phone line. New rumors indicate a possible launch on December 28, in which the brand would show three devices at the same time: the Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro and Xiaomi 12X.
The Chinese company is in a sort of “battle” against Motorola, for the title of first company to launch smartphones with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor — company CEO Lei Jun has already stated that Xiaomi would be the pioneer in this regard. However, the competitor must present the Edge X30 already on December 9, which would frustrate the executive’s plans.
The most up-to-date information would be different from that presented by the well-known Digital Chat Station profile on the Chinese social network Weibo. According to him, Xiaomi’s new line of flagships would be unveiled on December 12 for the Chinese market — it is also possible that the company will hold separate events on the two specified dates, to launch the cellphones in different markets, or even to split the three models for different occasions.

What to expect from the Xiaomi 12 line
Two of the three models in the Xiaomi 12 series are expected to come with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1: while the Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro will come with the most up-to-date processor, the 12X will come with the equally powerful Snapdragon 870. The performance suite will be completed with versions that they range between 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage on the most affordable device, but can go up to 12 + 256GB on the more expensive versions of the Pro variant.
Other attractions of the Xiaomi 12 Pro include a 2K screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, plus 50 MP cameras with a 50x optical zoom capability and a quick recharge of up to 100 W. However, cheaper models should have simpler specs, in addition to the most affordable price.
