NASA leader Raila Odinga took some time off the intense Kenyan political scene to link up with the The Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby
Raila jetted out of the country on the evening of Wednesday, October 11 and TUKO.co.ke has since learnt that he has flown to the United Kingdon.
He has since linked up with Justin Welby who is the most senior Bishop in the church of England.
The ODM party leader shared his meeting with Welby on his social media, saying that he had paid the archbishop a courtesy call for ‘spiritual guidance’.
“I value greatly the wise counsel that Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury and the principal leader of the Anglican Church, imparted when I paid a courtesy call on him this morning.” Raila said in a statement.
Raila jetted out for London on a two day tour amid uncertainty over his political future after he sensationally withdrew his participation from the repeat presidential poll.
His withdrawal has since been invalidated by the IEBC who insist that the NASA presidential candidate had not formally withdrawn due to his failure to produce a mandatory form 24A in his submission.
