The overriding reason why Uganda’s accomplished comedian Anne Kansiime ultimately divorced her husband of five years Gerald Ojok has been revealed.
Kansiime and Gerald’s marriage has been the talk of the town over the past few weeks with heavy speculation that their boat had unfortunately hit the rocks.
TUKO.co.ke earlier on announced the end of Kansiime’s marriage courtesy of the comedian’s own confession on Facebook, although details of the prime reason why remained flimsy.
In the latest twist to the tale, one of the key reasons for separating has now come to light.
Ugandan blog Newvision reports that while the two had been married five years, there was a lot of pressure from Ojok’s end of the family for the couple to sire offspring.
Kansiime was however not read for children, as she was solely focused on her lucrative career in comedy and acting.
The talented comedian, aside from her hilarious show “Don’t mess with Kansiime” started a bar business which also keeps her pretty occupied to simply fathom the thought of having kids.
Back in 2014, Kansiime and Ojok got married in a colorful ceremony in Uganda after dating for a while. It had been roses ever since, with Kansiime’s social media speaking of a couple many would wish to be.
Fans however took issue in October when they noted that Kansiime rarely wore her wedding ring, begging the question of whether she had left her matrimonial home.
