An ‘adult male’ dead and at least 11 injured in Minneapolis shooting

One adult man was killed and 11 other people injured in a shooting incident in Minneapolis, United States, early Sunday.

According to the Minneapolis Police Department, the 11 are in good condition with no-life-threatening wounds.

“One adult male died and 11 have no-life-threatening wounds,” Minneapolis Police Department tweeted.

Up to the time of this reporting, there have not been any indications that the shooting is linked to the anti-racism protests going on around the world after the murder of George Floyd.

Locals flooded social media with videos and pictures of the shooting incident. Some pictures showed damaged theatre windows, while videos had voices of people screaming at the scene.

All the injured were taken to hospital. Minneapolis Police have cordoned the area and launched investigations.
