Maia sympathizes with Felipe Neto and promises to speed up fake news project

The mayor, Rodrigo Maia (DEM-RJ), sympathized with youtuber Felipe Neto and said he will speed up the process of the project to combat fake news. In a post on Twitter, today (1), Maia invited the influencer to debate the theme at a meeting next week.

About 20 minutes after Maia’s post, Neto accepted the invitation. “Invitation accepted, Rodrigo. Let’s talk! Thank you very much for your support”, he wrote.

Since making a video for The New York Times with criticism of President Jair Bolsonaro (without a party), the influencer has become the target of virtual attacks by bolsonaristas. In the post of the American newspaper, Felipe Neto classified Bolsonaro as “the worst president in the world”.
