At a meeting organized by the evangelical church Comunidade das Nações, in Brasília, on Thursday, the President of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, admitted that he often cries in the bathroom.
“How often do I cry in the bathroom, at home? My wife [Michelle Bolsonaro] never saw. She thinks I’m the macho man. In part, I think she’s right,” said Bolsonaro, who currently lives at Palácio da Alvorada, the official residence of the Presidency, cited by Folha de S. Paulo.
“What makes me act this way? I am no longer a deputy. If a deputy misses a vote, it may not influence anything. One vote in 513. But a bad decision of mine, many people suffer. It changes the stock market, the dollar, the price of fuel,” he said.
The Brazilian President has acted to strengthen ties with evangelical bases, already thinking about the 2022 elections.
Currently, Bolsonaro supporters are concerned about the former president’s attempts Lula da Silva to earn interlocution points with evangelicals.
Bolsonaro’s statements have already generated reactions from councilor Carlos Bolsonaro and deputy Eduardo Bolsonaro.
Second Carlos Bolsonaro, the parents of protesters against Jair Bolsonaro in the 2018 election should cry in the bathroom, ashamed of their children.
Doesn’t the father of these people cry in the bath? Certainly they are not proud of such attitudes! The result is the opposite of what was expected as the majority of the population is decent and respectful of the laws! https://t.co/nZ6DPkIUWe

Already Eduardo Bolsonaro, also in reference to government critics, said that “the father of all those people cry in the bathroom”.
Last week, Jair Bolsonaro also attended a symposium with hundreds of evangelicals in Brasilia.
