A bride died after a liposuction procedure before the wedding took place. Coco Siew Zhi Sing, 23, was rushed to a hospital after feeling bad during treatment. She died the same day.
On Saturday, the model went to an unlicensed salon in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, to perform an aesthetic procedure to reduce fat in her arms, said Xiao Mingna, the victim’s brother.
Coco invested about R $ 3,300 in the surgery. After receiving an injection of anesthetic, the young woman started to have seizures. At the hospital, doctors tried to revive her, but she died a few hours later.
“The person responsible for the salon admitted that they did not have a license to conduct medical procedures, just normal beauty treatments,” Xiao told the local media.
Coco Siew worked as a model on the Asian continent. She and her fiance, Ewald du Plessis, were to be married in South Africa in early 2021. The police arrested the two beauty parlor, a 49-year-old woman and her 23-year-old daughter and will continue with a wrongful death investigation.
