Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis announced the opening to passengers of the ports of El Pireo in Athens, Rhodes, Heraclión, Volos, Corfu and Katákolo, in a letter to the International Cruise Association and three major companies in the sector, the agency said. news agency.
After docking at one of these six ports, ships will be able to travel anywhere else in Greece, depending on the local situation of the pandemic.
But Navy Minister Giannis Plakiotakis said on Thursday that cruises will not start arriving until August 20.
To date, Greece has a relatively low number of coronavirus cases, almost 4,500, with 206 deaths.
