Gabrielle Petito, a 22-year-old American girl, has mysteriously disappeared. Gabby went away with her boyfriend, who came home alone and didn’t want to tell him what happened — and now he’s also missing.
Gabby Petito, 22, and her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, 23, embarked together on a motorhome adventure across the United States in July. In early September, the young man returned home alone and Gabby’s parents reported his disappearance to the police.
However, Brian refused to tell the authorities what happened—and in the meantime, he too disappeared.
“We share the frustration with the world,” North Port Police Chief Todd Garrison said Thursday.
“Two people traveled, only one came back and the one that came back doesn’t give us any information about what happened,” he added.
According to Independent, Gabby reportedly last spoke to her mother on August 25, when she was in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming.
“I don’t know if she left the Grand Teton or not”, said Nicole Schmidt, mother of the 22-year-old girl.
“I received a message from her on the 27th and 30th, but I don’t know if technically it was her or not, because it was just a text. I didn’t talk to her verbally,” he continued.
The couple, who were traveling across the United States, shared their adventures on social media, but the latest publication dates back three weeks.
“Gabrielle Petito was traveling in a white 2012 Ford Transit van, Florida license number QFTG03, with her partner when she stopped communicating with friends and family,” reads a statement from the US police.
“According to the family, the last contact with her happened during the last week of August. Prior to the last communication, Petito is believed to have been in Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming,” they continue.
Among the loose lanes is a situation in which Utah police ordered the couple to pull over their van and watched an episode of “domestic violence”.

At the time, agents suggested that the young people spend the night apart: Gaby in the van and Brian in a hotel.
Unexpectedly, Brian Laundrie returned home on September 1st, ten days before the girl’s family reported missing, hired a lawyer and, along with the family, refused to speak to investigators.
The van where the couple was traveling has already been seized by the authorities, to be analyzed.
The investigation is in the hands of North Port police, in conjunction with the FBI, which revealed on Wednesday that Brian was officially deemed a “person of interest” in the case.
The searches for Gabby Petitio are centered on Wyoming’s Grand Teton National Park, the last place the young woman is believed to have been.
“We believe that you [pais de Brian] know where Brian left Gabby. We ask you to tell us. As parents, how can you let us go through this pain and not help us?”, they began by questioning. “Please, if you still have any decency, let us know where Gabby is. Let us know if we’re really looking for the right place,” the 22-year-old’s parents asked, in an open letter addressed to Laundrie’s parents.
“Our beautiful 22-year-old daughter is missing and the only person who can help find Gabby refuses to help,” laments the family, in a statement.
Nonetheless, Brian’s parents claimed not to know their son’s whereabouts for several days, reports the AFP.
The police announced that, for the time being, they are treating the matter as “a case of multiple disappearances”.
