Russia announces the end of military maneuvers and the return of troops to their headquarters

It is recalled that yesterday Moscow “partially” withdrew some of its soldiers deployed for weeks on the borders of Ukraine, this being the first sign of retreat after two months in which there was fear of an imminent invasion. Still, the western bloc is waiting for concrete evidence of the troops’ departure to assess the Russian danger. The president of the European Commission said that NATO has not yet seen signs of retreat.

Russia announced on Wednesday the end of military maneuvers and the departure of some military force from Ukraine’s annexed Crimean peninsula, where the presence of troops contributed to fears of a possible invasion of Ukraine.
